PROJECT: Marie Curie - National Day of Reflection (Radio)

Intro
For Marie Curie's National Day of Reflection, we were tasked with creating a poignant radio commercial that would raise awareness of the day and encourage reflection. The ad featured Alison Steadman OBE, actress and Marie Curie patron, lending her voice to the campaign and adding a layer of emotional depth to the message.

Challenge
The challenge was to capture the somber and reflective nature of the campaign while still conveying a sense of hope and community. We needed to create a sound that would evoke both empathy and inspiration, encouraging listeners to take part in the National Day of Reflection.

Approach
We crafted a sensitive and uplifting score, focusing on subtle melodies and a calm, supportive tone that would complement Alison Steadman’s warm and compassionate voice. The music was designed to build an emotional connection, guiding the listener through the message of remembrance and solidarity without overwhelming the central narrative.

The music provided a gentle yet impactful backdrop, emphasising the importance of the National Day of Reflection while ensuring that the message resonated with listeners on a personal level. The ad successfully encouraged people to reflect, remember, and show support for those affected by cancer.

PROJECT: Ogi - Full Fibre Broadband for Wales (Radio)

Intro
For Ogi, Full Fibre Broadband for Wales, we were tasked with delivering a full-service radio commercial that captured the essence of the brand while taking a comedic approach. From concept and scriptwriting to voiceover facilitation and production, we created a fun, engaging ad that highlighted Ogi’s unique selling points with a lighthearted twist. The voiceover was provided by Huw Stephens, BBC Radio One presenter and Welsh personality, bringing an extra touch of authenticity to the campaign.

Challenge
The challenge was to balance a comedic tone with the need to promote Ogi’s core USPs: ultrafast speeds, reliability, and competitive pricing. The client wanted an ad that felt distinctly Welsh and entertaining while clearly communicating the brand’s strengths in a way that resonated with the target audience.

Approach
We started by writing a script that incorporated both humor and informative content. The ad opens with inspiring music that quickly shifts to a modern, upbeat soundtrack, setting the stage for a playful comparison, “faster than a sheep in daps.” We kept the tone light and engaging, using Welsh references to appeal to the local audience while ensuring the key messages about Ogi’s offers were communicated clearly. We also facilitated the voiceover with Huw Stephens, whose warm and familiar voice added a layer of credibility and relatability to the ad.

Solution
The final ad blends a catchy modern soundtrack with a comedic, fast-paced script that emphasises Ogi’s key benefits. Huw Stephens’ voiceover delivers the humor with perfect timing, bringing to life the idea of a ‘proper tidy’ offer for Wales. The ad successfully promotes the brand’s reliable speeds, affordable pricing, and local connection while maintaining a playful, entertaining tone. The ad ended with a call to action to join the growing Ogi community and visit their website, creating an upbeat, memorable finish.

PROJECT: Electronic Arts - The Sims 4 (Digital)

Intro
For The Sims 4's European digital audio campaign, we collaborated with Electronic Arts (EA) to craft an engaging audio experience that resonated across diverse European markets.

Challenge
The objective was to create audio content that not only captured the essence of The Sims 4 but also appealed to a broad European audience. We needed to develop music and sound design that complemented the game's themes of creativity and self-expression, aligning with the campaign's focus on self-discovery.

Approach
Drawing inspiration from The Sims 4's dynamic and immersive audio landscape, we composed original tracks that mirrored the game's innovative spirit. The music dynamically adapted to in-game actions, enhancing the player's emotional connection.
